Denise & Wayne did their homework and shopped around for who they’d let handle their large renovation project which included removing a large portion of the load-bearing wall which divided the kitchen and three-season sunroom and converting the sunroom into the dining portion of the kitchen, great for entertaining. The old layout was a tight U-shaped kitchen with large soffits, tile countertops and poor workspace and circulation paths.
Their design includes a better space plan the homeowners can be included while entertaining. Their new very large island equipped with two undermount sinks, air-actuated switch for the garbage disposal and beautiful soapstone countertops. We kept all of the “tall” items along the right wall of the new space this leaves all of the other areas to be open. The new sink and range location becomes the central hub of the home and can see everyone in the kitchen.
Design features include heated wood-plank tile floors, Calcutta gold subway tile, a beverage center with flat screen television above for their Emmy parties. Their cabinetry selection was Dynasty, maple wood, Province door Style, Pearl Pained with Cognac glaze finish.
